Gado gado is a healthy food consisting of various boiled vegetables and complementary ingredients mixed with peanut sauce. Besides the delicious taste, the recipe and how to make gado-gado is not difficult because the ingredients are very easy to get and cheap. In addition to vegetables, you can also add pieces of rice cake to make it more filling.

    Wash all vegetables.

    Boil the bean sprouts for about 5 minutes then remove and drain.

    Cut the kale, spinach, and long beans according to taste. Boil kale, spinach, and long beans until cooked. Lift and drain.

    Cut the lettuce and cucumber leaves that have been washed clean according to taste. Set aside

    Boil eggs until cooked. Peel the eggs and cut them into 2 parts. Set aside.

    Boil the potatoes until cooked and tender. Peel and cut according to taste. Set aside.

    Dice the fried tofu and tempeh. Set aside.

    Heat enough oil to fry the peanuts. Fry the skinless peanuts until they turn brown. Remove and cool. After the beans have cooled, puree the beans by means of a blender or pulverized. Set aside.

    Fry the garlic, cayenne pepper, and red chili briefly. Lift and drain.

    Then puree the garlic, cayenne pepper, and fried red chili with the grilled shrimp paste and kencur.

    Heat enough oil for frying. Saute the ground spices until fragrant. Add lime leaves and mix well.

    Then add the ground peanuts that have been mashed earlier and stir so that the spices are mixed.

    Pour coconut milk and add brown sugar and salt to taste.

    Cook the peanut sauce until it boils and the sauce thickens. Don't forget to adjust the taste until it's just right.

    Once cooked and thickened, remove the peanut sauce to cool.

    Take a large plate, put and arrange all the boiled vegetables and the ingredients you have prepared earlier (bean sprouts, kale, spinach, long beans, pieces of tofu, tempeh, boiled potatoes, boiled eggs, cucumber, and lettuce).

    Pour the peanut sauce on top to taste.

    Sprinkle with enough fried onions and crackers.
